Background
COVID-19 is the shortened form for corona virus disease 2019. SARS-CoV-2 is a new strain of the virus that can be now found in humans.
After 4 months, almost 3 million cases were recorded. Like SARS, the corona virus has spread quickly to a majority of the countries in the world.
COVID is thought to come from animals and has been transmitted through different species.
How to stay safe
Wear a mask when going out because COVID-19 is mainly passed through aerosolized respiratory droplets. When coughing, sneezing, or simply talking,
these droplets can contain the virus and be spread to others usually withing one meter (3.3 ft). Social distancing ensures that the virus has a lower
chance of spreading to others. The estimated incubation period is about 14 days (2weeks).
Info about the virus
COVID-19 can vary from person to person. Those with an underlying medical condition, infants, or seniors are at a higher risk. Majority of the people who are infected
don't show symptoms and are not life-threatened. The infectious period is on average 1-2 weeks. People can start showing symptoms after only two days, but others
may not show any. It is best to stay at home until, the virus is gone.
